How Tactile Dome Switches Work

• Mechanism: The switch consists of a dome-shaped metal component that rests against a circuit board. When the dome is pressed, it collapses and makes contact with a secondary pathway on the circuit board, closing the circuit and sending an electrical signal to the device .
